PROSPECT / 2014 / RESIDENTIAL
This build was an extension to a beautiful cottage with over 100 years of history. The clients wanted the extension to provide them with a large space for entertaining which had a large kitchen, dining, lounge room, bathroom and laundry space with all the amenities being hidden via a corridor from the large open space living.
The back of the house was opened up by including a deck area with floor to ceiling bifold doors and windows, which overlooked their beautifully established back garden area. The drop ceiling over the kitchen added depth to the large open ceiling plan and gave the kitchen a sense of identity and cemented itself as a required design element to this part of the house.
The colour scheme was to keep with the heritage of the building by installing beautiful timber floor boards against the crisp white kitchen and earthy toned bathrooms and laundries. We have no doubt this extension will be impacting for the next 100 years.
